A Daddy and his Son

Monday, September 29, 2008

Along with the Mom’s bringing in their kids for a session together, I had a Grandma bring her Son and Grandson in for pictures. I had so much fun capturing these for them. He was such a Daddy’s boy and you could tell he just had everyone wrapped around his little finger. These images make me smile :) What great memories this little boy now has to look back onto and not only to know that he was loved but to see it! Cause that is what I see…

Do you know

Monday, September 29, 2008

Do you know who you are?

You are a marvel.

You are unique.

In all the world there is no other child

exactly like you.

In the millions of years that have passed

there has never been a child like you.

And look at your body-

what a wonder it is!

Your legs, your arms, your cunning fingers,

the way you move!

You may be Shakespeare, a Michelangelo, a Beethoven,

You have the capacity for anything.

Yes, you are a marvel.

-Pablo Casals

And your mine!   -Mommy

I just took this picture of Zoe the other day and I so love it! Every time I look at it I think about that quote. I had just read it the other day and it really hit me and made me think how truly unique individuals we are and there will only be one of us, ever! So we better make the most of ourselves.

shannon -

Great picture of Zoe. Her face looks so open and bright. Did you have a fan going to get that hair so pretty? Love the green couch too!

I love that quote. Amazing how much you love your kids. Its actually scary how amazingly strong your love is for your children. This is such a special picture of your baby girl. Craig just said that it’s such a sweet picture and he is happy because Zoe always smiles at him.

A Mom and her kids

Saturday, September 27, 2008

Love this first picture of this Mom and her kids. I have had a few sessions this month of just Mom’s with their kids. I love it! Way to go Mom’s! There’s nothing like the bond between a Mother and her kids. And in most families, (especially mine) the Mom is usually the one behind the camera so their are usually very few pictures of Mom and the kids(like me).

I have soooo many more sessions that I can’t wait to share. I am still so behind on the blog, so sorry all of you who are patiently awaiting your post. I’ll get there! You know I have all those Mommy duties too! Like waking up at 4am to my daughter throwing up! Yep! That’s the one Mommy duty I would love to give up!

Patty -

I agree nothing like a mothers bond with her children. I love the first picture.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY FAIRY PRINCESS

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

My baby turns 4 today! On Sunday we had her party, or should I truthfully say my party, as it was a childhood dream party of mine.  But Zoe is everything girly, pink, sparkly and tutu’s. She kept saying “Mommy it is sooo beautiful”! And then she would throw in that “Mommy your the best” as she jumps with excitement, giggles and hugs me! Melt my Mommy heart. I love that little girl.  I was all about making this party everything girly, as I’m sure next year when she turns 5, I won’t get much say in it and it will be Hannah Montana or something!

Zoe invited a few of her little fairy princess friends and cousins. All the little girls were adorn with tutu’s, wings and fairy dust. They danced around and played place the fairy on the flower. I made 12 mini wedding cakes so each kids could decorate their own with lots of little pink candies. It was a sugar high party!

We had a beautiful day and it was everything I dreamed of!:)

Happy Birthday Sweetheart! Mommy loves you!

I can’t wait for the day I get to throw Paige a party like this. And hey..can she borrow those boots of Zoe’s? ;) You’ve truly outdone yourself with this, Amy. Gorgeous photos and little Fairies. Happy Birthday, Zoe!

Happy Birthday, Zoe! I hope you have a day full of sparkles, candies and everything fun! Your mommy throws a fantastic birthday party. And all your little fairy princess guests were under such a magic spell — they behaved like princesses! Amy, you truly went all out. You are welcome to coordinate at the Pokemon fun at my house on Friday. If you are smart though, you’ll go shopping :)

Sisters

Monday, September 22, 2008

I was able to photograph these two girls on Labor day when all their relatives gather together each year for the holiday. They have a large family picture taken each year, which I think is wonderful to take the time to do each year. These two are so cute and a lot of fun to photograph!

shannon -

What little beauties. I’m sure their family will love them.

Family Life

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

I had a hard time picking my favorites to share, I just loved this session with this family.  Every picture I adore of them. They are so natural, sweet, fun and not to mention beautiful! It was so fun to see this little guy again, it has been since he was a newborn and I didn’t think he could get any cuter but he did.  Such a happy guy ready to be on the move!

I love the light on this first picture. Big brother and sister just douted over little sis. So sweet!
